Crave Curriculum
The Kingdom Life Collective
What does it really look like to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”? Throughout this year, we’ll discover the answer by walking through some of the most well-known parables of Jesus.
The Kingdom Life Collective is a journey exploring the heart postures that characterize citizens of God’s Kingdom. Together we’ll study what Jesus taught about tending our hearts, seeking the lost, extending forgiveness, loving our neighbors, praying with persistence, living with generosity, walking in humility, and keeping an eternal perspective.
Each month combines biblical teaching, historical context, personal reflection, and honest table conversations designed to move us beyond simply understanding Scripture to living it. Jesus’ parables weren’t just stories; they were invitations to see the Kingdom differently and allow Him to transform the way we live.
Whether you’ve studied the Bible for years or are opening it for the first time, you’ll be equipped to understand Scripture more deeply while discovering what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Join us as we learn to live together as a Kingdom people, bringing heaven to earth, one transformed heart at a time.

Vanessa has a heart for people to grow in intimacy with Christ. She is passionate about transforming potential into action. At the age of 24, Vanessa founded her ministry, Ignite Life, with the mission to equip, empower, and mobilize women to be the spark that ignites change in the world for the sake of Christ. Out of her desire to mobilize women in the church, one small conference gave birth to a movement of Christian women. Although this ministry is a huge priority in her life, her first ministry is her family. Vanessa has been married to her “Prince” Evan, for 12 years and her life is filled with joy and chaos raising her three children (Owen, 11; Ethan, 9; Charlotte, 6)

Robin Smith describes herself first and foremost as an apprentice of Jesus. In seeking the best way to use her gifts, she established Focus Consulting as a means to empower individuals, especially women in the non-profit sector, to lead with focus, confidence, and purpose. With over 38 years of experience in non-profit leadership, she offers Women’s leadership mastermind groups, one-on-one coaching, staff and board training, and speaks at conferences, retreats, and Bible studies.
One of her greatest joys comes from encouraging, strengthening, and challenging others to reach their full potential and become all that God created and intends them to be.
Robin serves on the Board of Directors and teaching team with Ignite LIfe. She lives in Henderson, NV, with her husband, Homer. They have two children and one grandchild. The best day ever would be a day spent either hiking in the mountains or relaxing on a beach with a really good book.

Katy Gossner is a woman whose life has been flipped upside down—in the best way—by God’s relentless, transformative love, and she’s eager to share that fire with everyone she meets. Serving as Ignite Life’s Phoenix Ambassador, she fulfills her passion to gather women into community where they can uncover their God-given purpose and fall deeper in love with the wonderful Father who made them and loves them with an indescribable love. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart—who still gives her butterflies (and routinely steals her last sip of coffee). Together, they’re navigating the glorious, messy chaos of raising four kids, a daily rollercoaster of endless snack requests, questionable fashion choices, the occasional Lego-induced foot injury, and those rare, magical moments when everyone’s actually getting along.

Over the past several years Emily has grown passionate about helping women love the word of God...even the intimidating parts of the Old Testament. It excites her to share the greatest story ever told, and see Jesus transform other women's lives through it. More than anything, Emily wants women to feel the joy of Jesus through life's ups, downs, and monotonous parts in between.
Emily has called Buckeye, Arizona home for the past 15 years. She spends her days with her husband of 13 years, four kids ages 11-6, and works as a part-time preschool teacher. Many local people know her best as "the play dough girl," because of a Covid hobby-turned-business she successfully ran for several years (and still dabbles in from time to time). In her very little spare time Emily finds joy in walking, having coffee with friends, and reading. Her weekends are spent at CCV Verrado where she attends and volunteers.

Prior to being a Student & Women's Pastor of The Refinery Christian Church, I was a homeschooling stay-at-home mom ministering to my children and family until I felt the Lord calling me into ministry outside of my living room and into the local church.
I love to write and read commentaries about how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies. I have a heart for the next generation, a passion to reach those far from God and a deep love for inspiring women to live in their identity as daughters of the King.
Many people are surprised to learn that I was raised Jewish and didn’t come to know Jesus until my twenties — a journey that deeply shapes both my faith and my ministry.
Fun Fact: I carry hot sauce in my purse at all times- just in case.
